Printing on canvas is easy with us. Your print is produced in usually 2-3 business days and shipped via UPS. Ordering an Photo on Canvas. It is so simple that even someone with very little technical knowledge can order. Simply do the following:

2...Submit payment Info & Confirm Your Order!

The actual ordering process takes only a few minutes depending on how long it takes for your image file to upload but once it does you are almost finished. Select the size and options you want and check out. And if there is any problems with printing your image we will let you know. And in the unlikely event we cannot print your image we will either refund your payment in full or work with you to get a suitable image to us.

What file format works best in converting photos to paintings?
The best for uploading digital photos is the JPG format, but we also accept TIF and BMP images.

How do I upload a photograph for you to use in the picture to painting process?
You should begin with the "Order" page and click on the "Browse…" button. This will send you to your computer's file folders. Select the folder on your computer where you where you keep the photo you would like to send and double-click on the file you would like to pick, being careful to upload the actual photo file rather than just the smaller thumbnail 'preview' image. Then complete the form and click on the "Submit" button and your photo will start uploading. It may take a few minutes, but perhaps only a few seconds. You will see a message on the screen when the process has been successful. Then you are on the way to your photo to painting proof.

What is the best resolution to use?
Most models of digital cameras take photos that work well with our technique. Set your camera in the higher resolution range, we will let you know if the pixel size is adequate for the size print you have selected.

How long does the process of turning my photos to paintings take?
We usually are able to post your online proof within 48 to 72 hour. We can post additional proofs in the picture to painting process until you see exactly what you want. From the time of approval and payment, the art ships in 3 to 4 days. UPS Ground takes 3 to 5 days to deliver your professionally packed photo to oil painting artwork.

How do I let you know about changes I'd like to make?
We will email you with a proof of your portrait, at that time you can see the proof and make changes, if you are happy with your portrait you can then accept the proof.

I don’t know how to get the photo from my camera to the computer?
Use the connecting cable that came with your camera that allows you to move the pictures from the camera to the computer. Some cameras have a removable memory card that allows you to use a memory card reader to drag the photos from the card into the folder where you store them on your computer. You may want to collect your favorites in a 'photos to paintings' folder.

What if my photo is an odd or unusual size?
We can provide a custom quotation based on a price per-square-inch formula. Our size range is 48” by any length. Since converting a photo to oil painting style may or may not require a new crop for the best composition, we are very flexible. A frequent solution is for us to suggest the new, non-standard size for your picture to painting based on the total square inches of the closest standard size that you want.

Can I use a photograph taken by a professional photographer in the photos to paintings process?
Yes, but you will need to verify with the professional that they have granted permission to have an oil painting from photos they have taken created (or a photo-realistic likeness) from the images that you have sent to us. You assume the liability of any copyrighted materials permission waivers being obtained. Your Photo To Painting assumes no responsibility for obtaining these copyrights needed to turn photos to paintings.
